About Roslyn Home & School

Roslyn School’s Home & School Association, also known as HandS, is a parent-volunteer organization that seeks to enrich the Roslyn experience for all students, families and staff. As a branch of the Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations (QFHSA), we are completely independent of the school’s governance structure, but work closely with the administration to represent Roslyn families’ interests.

Our Mission

What We Stand For

Roslyn HandS  promotes the involvement of parents, students, educators and the community at large in the life of the school. Our goal is to enrich the school experience, support our staff, students, and families, and act as a voice for parents.

HandS is all about creating community. We believe that parent engagement creates a richer elementary school experience for everyone. We know every family is different; no matter how much or how little time you have to give, we hope we can help you feel connected.

Established in the 1940s, the QFHSA is an independent, incorporated, not-for-profit volunteer, charitable organization. It promotes the involvement of parents, students, educators and the community at large in the education of our children. Home and Schools exist across the province, in schools large and small, in multiple school boards. As a member of several provincial and national organizations, the QFHSA acts as the voice for all families.

Learn more about the QFHSA from their website and their Facebook page.

Roslyn Home and School Association is one of the founding members of the QFHSA. Your family’s $20 membership fee helps to support everything HandS and the QFHSA does. Thank you!

What Parents are Saying

Roslyn is a welcoming and student-centred school that ideally helped prepare my older child (grad 2021) for high school. The dedication of the volunteers with the Roslyn Hands association makes being a Roslyn parent feel like being part of an extended family – thank you!

Friendly and caring environment, I really appreciate the dedication of the HandS members, teachers, administration and staff at Roslyn. It has been a great experience,

I can’t say enough good things about Roslyn. My children had a wonderful time there; Roslyn prepared them well for high-school and beyond. The teachers were always very approachable and caring. The extracurricular activities and various other events, such as the welcome back party, the concerts, and the open house, made it a fantastic and memorable family experience that we will always cherish. The volunteers and Home and School Association were a huge part of this success. Keep it up – all of you! Bravo! Many Thanks.
