Roslyn School’s Home & School Association, also known as HandS, is a parent-volunteer organization that seeks to enrich the Roslyn experience for all students, families and staff. As a branch of the Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations (QFHSA), we are completely independent of the school’s governance structure and work closely with administration to represent Roslyn families’ interests. Did you know that Roslyn HandS is one of the oldest Home and School Associations in
Quebec with over 85 years of continuous participation? Now that’s worth celebrating!

Why Join?
Your $20 annual membership supports HandS and helps maintain our connection with the QFHSA, which provides vital resources like event insurance, and advocacy for English-language schools in Quebec. Membership is strongly encouraged and for events to be covered by insurance, all HandS event volunteers must be active members in good standing.

What We Do
HandS serves to strengthen the connection of all families through school spirit initiatives which cannot be done without direct participation and involvement. HandS works closely with school administration and staff to provide engaging activities beyond the regular curriculum. We host and fundraise for a variety of events, including:

• Pizza Lunches
• Welcome Back Event in September
• End of Year Party in May
• Teacher Appreciation Week in February
• Funding a Teacher Meal During Parent-Teacher Interviews in November
• Homeroom Pumpkin decorating for Halloween
• Apples as a healthy snack for every participant after the Terry Fox School Run
• Extracurricular activities at Lunch and After-School 
• Garden Project
• Year-round Health Room for students in need
• And much More!

These events and many more are only possible thanks to the incredible support of our parent volunteers.
