CODE OF CONDUCT

The instructors are there to teach their specialty, as such, we ask that you review the following with your child/children.

The program operates under the “3 strikes and you’re out” rule.

  • 1st strike, a written note will be sent home with your child explaining the situation.
  • 2nd strike, your child will be suspended from the activity the following week.
  • 3rd strike, you child will be removed from the activity permanently and without refund.

***All participants enrolled in the activities program are required to respect the instructor, each other, as well as the environment in which the course is held.***

After School Supervision Program

For the 2024/25 school year, after school supervision will be offered to ALL children enrolled in the after school activities program on the day(s) for which they are registered. This service is included in the registration fees.

After school dismissal and pick up will be via the front entrance of the school ONLY.

Late fees of $5 per 5 minutes will be applied after 6 p.m. and your child/children will not be allowed to return to the activities program until these fees are paid in full. Three (3) late pickups and your child will be permanently removed from ALL after-school activities without refund.

A timely pick up is essential for us to limit congestion and facilitate a smooth and fluid dismissal. After school dismissal and pick up is at the front entrance of the school.

NOTE: There are no after school programs for kindergarten students.

Canceling an Activity

Activities may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Should this occur, a full refund of the base activity fee will be given, processing fees are non-refundable. Space permitting, you will also be given an opportunity to select a different activity for your child should you wish.

Should you wish to withdraw your child from an activity prior to the start date you must send a request in writing to activities@roslynhands.ca. Please include the order #, student’s name, and the activity you wish to have removed.  NOTE: refer to the Refunds section below for the refund policy when withdrawing your child.

Wait Lists

Wait lists will open for an activity once all spaces are assigned. Should a space become available in a particular activity, you will be contacted and offered the opportunity to join the class. Should the wait list for any activity be abundant, a new class may be opened and offered on a new day. You will receive an invitation to join the class baring any conflicts.

Donations

Should you decide to remove your child from a particular activity you can choose to donate the space to a child who may otherwise not be able to participate in the program. If you would like to donate the cost of an activity prior to registration please contact the program coordinator, Chelle Lee Hauser at activities@roslynhands.ca

Refunds

We make every effort to find the right fit for your child. As such if you wish to change an activity you must contact Chelle at activities@roslynhands.ca .

Should you wish to withdraw your child completely from a course you MUST do so prior to the start of the 2nd class of 10-week courses and prior to the 3rd class of 20-week courses.

Once your child attends the 2nd or 3rd class respectively, no refund will be issued.

Processing fees are non-refundable.

NOTE: If you selected the payment plan option for After School activities, $100 of the first payment is also non-refundable.

Payment plans (new in 2024-25)

Since we open registration for after school activities in June, we offer the option to pay in 3 installments. If you select the installment plan option for After School activities, $100 of the first payment is non-refundable, regardless of when you request cancellation of an activity.

We are able to transfer the payments to another activity, and/or refund the difference beyond the $100 deposit.

Lunch activities for 20-week programs will be paid in 2-payments, with no option to pay in full. Because that is not optional, we will not consider the first payment non-refundable, but we also reserve the right to transfer payments received to other activities before issuing refunds. Processing fees are always non-refundable.
